Super Flock Fondue Deck
Home: The Flock regular home
Starters:
- 2 - Cassidy Greene
- 3 - Idleness
- 3 - Miss Lily
- 4 - Buster Madison
- 4 - Avarice
Be gentle with the five starters, they are the only dudes in the entire deck. Cassidy is there for her cheap point of influence. Idleness and Miss Lily for their Blessed traits. Buster for his Huckster trait. Finally Avarice for his Noon ability. Cassidy and one of the blessed are about all you can really afford to loose here.
Deeds
- 5 - Lonesome Willow Strike
- 6 - King Willy's Mother Lode
- 7 - Sheriff's Shaft
- 10 - Ike's Strike
- 10 - Muddy Brown Strike
- J - Pike's Puddle Mine
- J - Look Homeward Mine
- Q - Harlot's Haven Strike
- Q - Thunder Gulch Strike
- K - Foal's Folly
- K - Wishing Well
- K - Henry's Hole
These deeds are all higher valued for a reason as the deck needs those high pulls quite often. This makes the Wishing Well work pretty effectivily as well, especially on the first turn. If things get hairy for ghost rock Avarice is there to fetch a strike for you.
Actions
- 7 - Run Outta Town X3
- 9 - Snake Bite X2
- J - Rumors X4
- Q - Defendin' What's yours X2
Okay so here's where we start running into trouble with a potential cheating hands. But try not to fret to much because you usually only go through one or two hands of lowball with this deck. Plus the multiple copies are neccessary. Run Outta Town removes a dude from play pretty easy, since this is a high pull deck and most starters are usually low value it works really effectively when somebody cheats. Snake Eyes just for those few essential cards that happen to be ace value. Rumors for getting rid of that influence one way or the other after they have booted away from home. Defending Whats Yours, well in the winning turn you may need and extra control point or maybe just that one if you don't have the ghost rock for a stirke with control points, well this will give it to you. Just remember to play it AFTER you have dropped their influence to the floor.
Events
- 8 - It Was A Mountain Lion X4
- J - Stampede
- Q - Los Diablos Stampede X4
It Was A Mountain Lion works pretty good in this deck. The lowest pull you can make with your starter out is an Ace but none of your dudes are that value and usually other players start with one or so. After that the next value in the deck is a 5 and then only one of them. With the high pull range you may knock out their heavy hitter who is usually of high influence. Stampede is there just for the occasional screwing up of movement to help things out and to make people boot to move from home opening them up for a Rumors. Los Diablos Stampede is fun since your highest value dude is only a 4. Another great way to tie up those higher value higher influence dudes.
Spells
- A - Mind Twist X4
- 7 - Holy Roller
- 10 - Blood Curse X2
- Q - Babble On X4
- K - Calm X4
Okay the Mind Twists are there for the huckster so he can drop folks influence, it's low value is the only risk for pulls in this deck. Blood Curse is there for the influence drop as well. Just make sure you use Blood Curse before Mind Twist so you get max effects before booting your dude. Holy Roller if you need that extra influence point all of a sudden. Babble On is the great influence dropper for the deck. Use it well and get them down to nothing. The Calms are for those sudden ambushes, Massacres or what have you. Ends the shootout right then and there. A great under rated card.
In the end this deck is a lot of fun for a quick stomper here and there. I have silenced one over bragging player and his 'super' deck with it. Thats another fun thing to do with this one. Enjoy and don't forget to post any changes and ideas in the comments section. If you build it, be sure to let me know how well it worked.
